TRIP SUMMARY

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi (D)

Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples Arrive in Hanoi . Meet the guide and transfer to hotel. Take a cyclo tour about 1 hour going around the 36 streets of the famous Old Quarter, the Vietnamese version of the rickshaw. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi .
(The first day’s program can be arranged according to arrival time of group in Hanoi .)

Day 2: Hanoi - Ha Long (B, L, D)

After breakfast visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Palace of the former Governor of Vietnam, the wooden stilt house where Ho Chi Minh lived for the last years of his life, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Arts Museum, the Temple of Literature , the Lake of the Restored Sword. Continue going by road to Ha long. Transfer to hotel on arrival dinner is in a local restaurant. Overnight in Ha long.

Day 3: Halong - Hanoi (B, L, D)

A morning cruise in a private junk on the emerald green waters of Ha long Bay, among the 3,000 spectacular limestone islands. The cruise ends with a fresh seafood lunch on board. Return to Hanoi by road in the afternoon. Visit the Old Quarter and shopping there. In the everning, before dinner at a local restaurant enjoying a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi .

Day 4: Ha Noi - Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L, D)

After breakfast in the hotel transfer to Noi Bai Airport for the short flight to Da Nang in the centre of Vietnam . Guests are welcomed on arrival in Da Nang and transferred to Hoi An after visiting the Cham Museum , which contains the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. When coming to Hoi An, an excursion is made to the charming historic town including: the historical and cultural showroom of Hoi An, Japanese covered bridge, Phuc Kien assembly hall and Vietnamese old houses. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An - Hue (B, L, D)

Leave Hoi An early in the afternoon for Hue , Hue is the former imperial capital of Vietnam from where the Nguyen Dynasty of emperors ruled from 1802 till 1945. On the way stop visiting the Marble mountains, stone-carving village. Climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds and dropping down to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang C o. Arrive in Hue late in the afternoon. Take a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and transfer to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Hue .

Day 6: Hue (B, L, D)

After breakfast, full-day city tour in Hue includes the mausoleum of former emperors of Minh Mang and Tu Duc, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. After lunch in a local restaurant visit the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba Market, famous for selling the best conical hats in Vietnam . In the evening, have a chance to dress up in period costume for one of the highlights of Hue , the Royal Dinner. Overnight in Hue .

Day 7: Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)

After breakfast transfer to Hue Airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City . Welcome on arrival in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer directly to the hotel. An afternoon city tour visits two fine examples of French colonial architecture, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office and Cholon, the city’s Chinatown , with a visit to Thien Hau Pagoda and Binh Tay Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City .

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh city - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh city (B, L, D)

Take a coach trip to visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. Back to Ho Chi Minh, have a lunch. In the afternoon, visit the former Presidential Palace, Ben Thanh market for shopping. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City .

Day 9: Depart Saigon (B)

After breakfast, our guide will help guest who would like to do some last minute shopping. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for onward flight.
