TRIP SUMMARY

Day 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh city (D)

Welcome at Tan Son Nhat international airport and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city - My Tho - Can Tho (B, L, D)

Coach trip to the Mekong Delta. After a visit of Vinh Trang pagoda, continue driving to Cai Be with stop at Dong Tam village to visit a snake farm. Join us on a 3-hour boat trip through the canals, passing rice fields islands with fruit orchards and houses built on stilts. Lunch at local restaurant. Pick up at Vinh Long & proceeding to Can Tho. Overnight in Can tho.

Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh city (B, L, D)

Early morning drive to Phong Dien situated approx. 20km from Can Tho, where we will visit the colourful floating market. A boat trip through the narrow canals offers lots of photo opportunities. After lunch at a local restaurant return by coach to Ho Chi Minh City . Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City .

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City- Phan Thiet

After breakfast visits a lacquerware factory before departing by road for Phan Thiet. The scenic 200km drive north on highway one passes through the bustling city of Bien Hoa before cutting through dense rubber plantations. Nearer to Phan Thiet the terrain changes to arid semi-desert with cactus plants and strange looking dragon fruit trees. Arrive in Phan Thiet in the late morning and check into hotel. After lunch, the rest of day is free to relax by the pool or on the sandy beach. Overnight in Phan Thiet.

Day 5: Phan Thiet - Nha Trang (B, L, D)

Leaving for Nha Trang after breakfast, the road Highway One passes the coastal city of Phan Rang . Break the journey here to visit the 13th century Po Klong Garai Cham Towers perched high on a rocky hill surrounded by prickly pear cacti. After visiting goes back to Highway one turns north and follows the coast past salt ponds and vivid green rice fields to hotel in Nha Trang. An afternoon city tour includes the Po Nagar Cham Towers and Long Son Pagoda with its enormous white Buddha statue. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 6: Nha Trang - Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L, D)

Take a flight to Da Nang , continue to visit Marble Mountains , Cham Museum and drive to Hoi An Ancient town. In the afternoon, city tour Hoi An to visit former merchants’ houses, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful market. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7: Hoi An - My Son (B, L, D)

In the morning take a coach trip to My Son Holy Land, a religious sanctuary of the once flourishing Champa Kingdom from the 4th century. There is leisure time in the afternoon or take a boat trip along the Hoai river down to Cua Dai Beach and visit the traditional villages. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue (B, L, D)

After breakfast, leave Hoi An for Hue , the former imperial capital of Vietnam . Stop on the way to climb up Marble Mountains, visit China Beach . The scenic route passes through Da Nang before climbing over Hai Van Pass and descending to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co. Arrive in Hotel in Hue late afternoon. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hue .

Day 9: Hue City (B, L, D)

A boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Thien Mu Pagoda, and the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang. In the afternoon visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh  and the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Overnight in Hue .

Day 10: Hue - Ha Noi - Ha Long (B, L, D)

Take a short flight from Hue to Ha Noi. City tour to visit One-Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and Ngoc Son Temple with Hoan Kiem Lake . One-hour cyclo ride in the Old Quarters of Ha Noi. Afterwards transfer to hotel in Ha Long city. Overnight in Ha Long

Day 11: Ha Long - Ha Noi (B, L, D)

Five-hour boat cruise on the magnificent Ha Long Bay to enjoy swimming and exploring limestone caves. Return to Ha Noi in the afternoon. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show in the evening before having a dinner. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 12: Ha Noi - Departure (B)

More free time until transfer to the airport for departure flight from Vietnam .
